Atlas Copco has announced the acquisition of Perslucht Wilda, a compressed air distributor based in the Netherlands. The financial specifics of the deal have not been made public.
Located in Woudenberg, Perslucht Wilda has been a primary dealer for Atlas Copco in the Netherlands for four decades. The company specializes in the sale of portable air compressors, generators, light towers, and small electric compressors. Additionally, it offers a rental service for various machines, including diesel-powered compressors and generators.
Founded in 1979, Perslucht Wilda has a workforce of nine employees.
Andrew Walker, President of the Power Technique business area, commented, “The acquisition of Perslucht Wilda presents a significant opportunity to enhance our direct network and aftersales service presence in the Netherlands.”
The acquisition is anticipated to be finalized in the fourth quarter of 2024, after which Perslucht Wilda will become part of the service division within the Power Technique Business Area.
This acquisition is part of Atlas Copco’s ongoing strategy to expand its portfolio. Recently, the company acquired Generator Rental Services (GRS) in New Zealand in August, shortly after announcing its intent to purchase South Africa’s Integrated Pump Rental (IPR).
In a related development, Atlas Copco has appointed Koen Lauwers as the new president of the Vacuum Technique business area and a member of Group Management. Lauwers, currently serving as the president of the Semiconductor division within the same area, will take on his new role starting January 1, replacing Geert Follens, who is set to retire at the end of 2024.
