New Generator Installed at Hawkesbury Sports Complex with Government Grant

by Anna

The Town of Hawkesbury has bolstered its emergency preparedness by installing a new generator at the Robert Hartley Sports Complex, thanks to a $50,000 grant from Ontario’s Community Emergency Preparedness Grant Program. This generator is set to enhance the town’s response capabilities in the event of prolonged power outages or other crises.

The sports complex, already designated as a shelter during emergencies, will now be even better equipped to provide essential services, such as heating, electricity for communication systems, and maintaining critical operations during emergency situations.
