CATL Launches Freevoy Super Hybrid Battery for Enhanced PHEV Performance

by Anna

China’s CATL, the world’s largest EV battery manufacturer, has recently introduced its innovative Freevoy Super Hybrid Battery. This new battery aims to enhance the capabilities of hybrid vehicles, particularly Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEVs). CATL claims that Freevoy is the first hybrid battery to achieve an all-electric range of over 400 km (250 miles) with ultra-fast 4C charging, offering an electric vehicle-like experience to hybrid users.

With the Freevoy battery, drivers can complete a week’s commute on a single charge, significantly reducing the frequency of recharging. Additionally, the battery supports rapid charging, providing an impressive 280 km (175 miles) of range in just 10 minutes. This advancement not only boosts the utility of PHEVs but also positions them as a competitive choice in the EV market.
