LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) — A mobile home on Bridgid Street suffered extensive damage on Sunday afternoon after a fire broke out due to a generator, according to the Lafayette Fire Department.
Firefighters arrived at the scene just before 1:30 p.m. Sunday. Alton Trahan, the department’s public information officer, reported that the occupants were in the process of moving out and were using a generator to power the home when the incident occurred.
The generator ignited, leading to a fire that spread to the mobile home. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the incident.
