Kaeser Expands Compressor Range with New Mobilair M44

by Anna

Kaeser Kompressoren has introduced the Mobilair M44, a new Stage V-compliant portable compressor designed to address a gap in the market by combining high performance with a compact, eco-friendly design.

The Mobilair M44 delivers an impressive 4.1 m³/min at an operating pressure of 7 bar, positioning it between Kaeser’s existing 3 m³ and 5 m³ models. This compressor is marketed as a powerful, space-efficient, and environmentally friendly solution for the European market.

Powered by a Kubota diesel engine equipped with a diesel particulate filter, the Mobilair M44 features optimised power management and operates at a low maximum engine speed of 2,500 rpm. According to Kaeser, this configuration results in exceptional fuel efficiency and minimal emissions.

One of the key innovations of the Mobilair M44 is its new Sigma Control Smart controller, which simplifies operation by allowing users to adjust the maximum pressure in 0.1-bar increments between 6 and 7.5 bar at the touch of a button. This system ensures optimal compressed air availability, fuel efficiency, and exhaust gas management.

The compressor also boasts a 45-litre fuel tank, providing enough capacity for a full working shift. In addition, the unit features a spin-on cartridge for efficient oil separation, enhancing its performance and ease of maintenance. Weighing just 750 kg, the Mobilair M44 is light enough to be towed without a braked trailer, making it convenient for transportation with a B-driving licence.

Other standard features include an operating mode indicator, system diagnostics, and anti-frost control, making the Mobilair M44 particularly suited for operating pneumatic hammers and impact moles. For those seeking additional features, options such as compressed air reheating and filters for technically oil-free compressed air are available, though these come with a braked chassis.

The Mobilair M44 is also offered with various chassis configurations, including unbraked or overrun-braked models, as well as stationary versions with skids or machine feet.

This latest addition to Kaeser’s compressor lineup emphasizes its commitment to providing compact, efficient, and eco-conscious solutions for a range of industrial applications.
