Cummins to Debut New Dual-Fuel RV Generators at Tampa RV Show

by Anna

Cummins Inc. (NYSE: CMI) has announced the launch of a new family of 50-state emissions certified RV generators, which will be showcased at the Florida RV SuperShow starting January 15 at the Florida State Fairgrounds in Tampa, Fla.

The new product range includes the QG 7000i DF, QG 4000i DF, and QG 2800i DF. The flagship QG 7000i DF will take center stage at the event. These fixed-mount RV generators feature modern technology designed by Onan to meet evolving RV needs, including a returnless electronic fuel injection (EFI) system that allows the units to run on either gasoline or liquid propane with a simple switch.

The EFI system provides automatic adjustments for altitude and operating conditions, ensuring optimal output. With a closed-loop design, it eliminates fuel varnishing issues, and the absence of a carburetor simplifies installation. The new generators also deliver clean sine wave inverter power and 240V AC capability, providing protection for sensitive electronics like tablets, mobile phones, and medical devices.

Additional features of the QG i DF family include variable speed engines, permanent magnet alternators, and advanced muffler systems for reduced noise and vibration. The models also feature J1939 communication protocol, which allows compatibility with coach multifunction displays, along with enhanced diagnostics and overload protection.
