German cleaning firm Algenmax has taken a major step towards sustainability by converting its fleet of diesel-powered vans to the VOLTSTATION CS30 mobile energy storage system from Miba Battery Systems.
The VOLTSTATION CS30 is designed to meet Algenmax’s goals for efficiency, cost reduction, and environmental responsibility. The system provides up to 10 hours of energy, freeing up valuable space in the vans for additional equipment. Additionally, the system supports bidirectional charging, which streamlines workflows and optimizes energy usage. As a result, the company has eliminated ongoing fuel costs, reduced maintenance expenses, and extended the service life of its vehicles.
Currently, Algenmax has retrofitted more than 70% of its vans with the VOLTSTATION CS30, a move that will support the company’s upcoming expansion plans into Norway and the Netherlands in 2025.
The VOLTSTATION CS30’s versatility makes it ideal not only for cleaning firms but also for a range of applications in the construction sector, as well as for special vehicles such as transit buses and fire engines.
Stefan Gaigg, Managing Director of Miba Battery Systems, highlighted the system’s broad potential. “It ensures a reliable energy supply, helps reduce costs, and can be easily integrated into various mobile applications,” Gaigg said. “The technology also contributes to lower noise emissions in urban construction projects, which is especially important in densely populated areas.”
With the adoption of this innovative technology, Algenmax continues to move towards a greener future while enhancing operational efficiency and service capabilities.
