This addition offers customers increased flexibility and adaptability to a wide range of applications, complementing the standard FlexForce unit with a fixed eight GPM flow rate.
The FlexForce high-performance through-spindle coolant system (TSC) is available in two configurations: 500 or 1,000 PSI. Its primary purpose is to overcome the heat-generated vapor barrier that often forms at the cutting tool and workpiece interface, causing surface defects and tool damage. By delivering coolant directly to the cutting zone, the FlexForce system enhances lubrication, heat dissipation, cutting speeds, feed rates, chip control, and part surface finishes.
The standard FlexForce unit comes equipped with a 10-micron filtration system. However, customers have the option to select a filtration range between 5 to 25 microns based on their specific requirements.
Designed for reliable and fail-safe operation, the system incorporates a low-pressure suction pump responsible for extracting coolant from an existing reservoir. This coolant is then filtered through a bag filter before being transferred to the FlexForce reservoir. The high-pressure pump subsequently pressurizes the coolant, delivering it through the machine spindle directly to the cutting point. This process enables faster machine feeds and speeds, ultimately enhancing overall productivity.
The system’s onboard coolant reservoir ensures a continuous supply to the high-pressure pump, while multiple electronic sensors monitor various critical parameters, making it suitable for lights-out operations. Furthermore, automatic pressure regulators and machine-controlled dump valves, among other fail-safes, significantly reduce the risk of system damage.
