Wallwork Group, the UK’s largest independent heat treater, has strengthened its presence in Scotland with the appointment of Ashleigh Thomson to lead business development in the region. Ashleigh joins the company at a time when Wallwork is making substantial investments across its UK sites, including the establishment of a new £20 million hot isostatic pressing center.
With a focus on expanding its comprehensive range of heat treatment services, Ashleigh brings significant industry experience to her new role. Her previous positions include sales business development for British Heat Treatments / British Metal Treatments, followed by becoming the general manager for British Heat Treatments, a division of AJT Engineering Ltd in East Kilbride. Ashleigh has a wealth of knowledge in nickel and hard chrome plating, electroless nickel plating, QPQ, harden and temper, case hardening, stress relieve, and tufftride.
Expressing her enthusiasm, Ashleigh stated, “I look forward to bringing my sales development skills to Wallwork. The company has a fantastic customer service ethic.” She sees this opportunity as a way to contribute to Wallwork’s growth and enhance its service offerings in Scotland.

She will strengthen our offering to customers in Scotland.” He highlighted that Ashleigh, based in Glasgow, would have access to all group services, beyond core heat treatments, through national transport, providing a valuable resource for manufacturers in Scotland.
Outside of her professional endeavors, Ashleigh is actively involved in volunteering for the Edward Foundation, a charity dedicated to assisting bulldogs at risk of abuse. Her personal connection to the cause is evident through her bullmastiff, Lexi, who, despite being uninterested in heat treatment, enjoys the warmth of sitting beside the fire.
