After 27 years of dedicated service, Keith Villiers has retired from his position as applications engineer at Walter Ewag UK, a renowned manufacturer of CNC grinding, erosion, and measuring machines. Keith spent the last 25 years in the applications department, offering invaluable support and expertise to customers across the country in programming, process optimization, and productivity enhancement related to cylindrical cutting tools.
Keith began his career with Walter GB (now Walter Ewag UK) in 1997 as a machine salesman before transitioning to the applications department after two years. Over the years, he witnessed significant technological advancements in machine software and programming, adapting his skills to provide exceptional service to customers.
Stepping into Keith’s role is James Hanmer, who brings a wealth of experience in production engineering. James joined Walter Ewag UK’s customer care department in 2017 following a career that started with an apprenticeship in the early ’90s, earning him City & Guilds Btec accreditation in Production Engineering.
James’s professional background includes expertise in purchasing Walter tool grinders and serving as a production manager for a company utilizing Walter machines. His experience positions him well to succeed Keith at the Warwick-based company, where he aims to continue delivering outstanding support to customers.
