Lionweld Kennedy Invests £1.5 Million in Advanced Machinery and Site Expansion

by Anna

Teesside-based Lionweld Kennedy, one of the UK’s leading manufacturers and installers of access products, has announced a substantial £1.5 million investment in its site and machinery. This significant move includes the construction of a new multipurpose building and the installation of the UK’s first shearing machines for steel grating.

The investment aims to reinforce Lionweld Kennedy’s status as a major employer in the region. With the introduction of the shear grating machine, the company expects to boost production capacity of its Safegrid gratings by over 40%. This advancement not only increases efficiency but also eliminates waste production associated with cutting the product, thereby enhancing the health and safety conditions for employees.
