FREEPORT, Ill. — Tri Star Metals has announced an exclusive North American distribution agreement with Aubert & Duval, a leading manufacturer of advanced material solutions for the defense industry. This partnership marks a significant step for Tri Star as it diversifies its product offerings and broadens its footprint in the defense sector.
The collaboration will bring a range of high-performance proprietary grades of steel to the market, including the specialized barrel grade ARMAD. Additionally, it will feature advanced engineered grades designed for barrels and other critical components essential for defense applications. Through this agreement, Tri Star aims to meet the evolving demands of the defense industry by providing premium quality materials for high-performance solutions.
This agreement was spearheaded by Mike Walsh, founder and former president of Centric Alloys, who began negotiations with Aubert & Duval two years ago. Tri Star acquired Centric Alloys in February 2024 to bolster its presence in defense markets. Following the acquisition, Mike Walsh joined Tri Star as Vice President of Defense. The successful conclusion of this agreement highlights the committed efforts of both organizations to enhance their collaboration and expand their product offerings for the North American defense market.
