Embrace Steel Group (Embrace), a prominent UK provider of steel frame building solutions, has announced a significant investment of £1.5 million in new, state-of-the-art machinery. This move is part of Embrace’s broader strategy to solidify its position as a leading force in the British steel and construction industries.
The investment will finance the acquisition of a Voortman V807 Coping machine for Hambleton Steel (Hambleton), a North Yorkshire-based steel designer and fabricator that Embrace acquired in 2022. The advanced equipment features the latest Hypertherm XPR high-definition plasma cutting unit, along with blast and handling capabilities. This upgrade will automate many traditionally manual processes, significantly increasing Hambleton’s operational efficiency and capacity.
This development comes on the heels of other strategic moves by Embrace, including the milestone acquisition of South Wales-based steel fabrication company Shufflebottom in April and the recent appointment of Matt Gibson as chief operating officer (COO) last month.
Embrace currently boasts a combined Group revenue of £55 million and aims to more than double this to over £100 million within the next two years.
