The Lesjöfors Group has expanded its footprint in England with the acquisition of Clifford Springs Ltd, a spring manufacturer headquartered in Redditch. This strategic move increases Lesjöfors’ parent-owned sites in England to six and extends its global network of manufacturing and sales sites to over 50 locations worldwide.
Clifford Springs, generating an annual revenue of approximately £3 million and employing 17 people, specializes in a diverse range of springs. Their product lineup includes canted, PEEK, helical, meander, continuous top rail, and anti-extrusion springs, serving markets globally. Additionally, Clifford Springs’ seal energizing technologies will enhance Lesjöfors’ extensive product offerings.
Ola Tengroth, CEO of Lesjöfors, expressed enthusiasm about the acquisition: “Clifford Springs is a well-established brand with significant technical capabilities and a broad customer base. This acquisition not only expands our product portfolio but also strengthens our presence in the niche segment of seals and valves, thereby enhancing our global reach.”
John Clifford, CEO of Clifford Springs, who will continue in his operational role post-acquisition, shared his optimism: “We are thrilled to join the Lesjöfors Group. We take pride in our achievements thus far and look forward to further success as part of Lesjöfors’ expansive network of leading spring manufacturers.”
This acquisition underscores Lesjöfors’ commitment to growth and innovation in the spring manufacturing industry, promising new opportunities for both companies involved.
