Mazak Corp. has announced its participation in the AMB Exhibition 2024, scheduled to take place in Stuttgart from September 10-14, 2024. At the event, Mazak will feature seven state-of-the-art machines, showcasing advancements in multi-tasking, automation, gear technology, and remote service capabilities designed to boost productivity.
Among the highlights will be the VARIAXIS i-700 NEO, part of Mazak’s new NEO series. This next-generation machine is one of two new models from the NEO line that will be featured at the exhibition. The VARIAXIS i-700 NEO is distinguished by its wide machining area and tilting/rotary table, ideal for high-precision work on large components. It also boasts the advanced SmoothAi CNC system.
Another key exhibit is the HCN-4000 NEO, equipped with a high-speed 20,000-rpm spindle and a dual-pallet changer to facilitate continuous machining operations. This machine exemplifies Mazak’s commitment to enhancing productivity and efficiency.
Mazak’s stand will also showcase a specialist gear-cutting machine, the INTEGREX i-250H ST AG, which integrates multi-tasking capabilities with gear cutting and measurement. This machine supports various gear machining techniques, including skiving, hobbing, and endmilling, catering to both high-mix, small-volume production and large-scale manufacturing.
The QUICK TURN 250 MSY, featuring Turn Assist, skiving capabilities, and a high-speed spindle, will also be on display. It is equipped with a TA robot for unmanned machining, enhancing productivity and operational flexibility.
A notable feature of Mazak’s booth will be the live digital twinning demonstration involving the CV5-500 5-axis machining center. This demonstration will illustrate the creation of a digital replica of the machine to streamline setup, programming, and tooling processes, thus improving quality control and operational efficiency.
Visitors will also see the VARIAXIS C-600 machines, one operated with a third-party automation system and the other displayed at the AVANTEC stand in Hall 1. Additionally, Mazak will present its iCONNECT digital service, which offers customers access to product manuals, e-learning options, and the Machine-2-Mazak (M2M) subscription service. M2M provides remote monitoring, maintenance, and optimization services to enhance machine uptime and operational efficiency.
New to Mazak iCONNECT is MAZATROL DX, a productivity software designed for rapid and automatic quotations, part programming, virtual machine simulation, and process optimization.
The stand will also feature various machined parts demonstrating Mazak’s commitment to innovation and collaboration with customers.
Marco Casanova, Managing Director for the DACH region at Yamazaki Mazak, emphasized the theme of this year’s exhibition: “At AMB, our focus is on partnership and innovation. By working closely with our customers, we aim to enhance productivity, profitability, and sustainability. Our new machines and technologies are designed to deliver superior performance and environmental benefits, setting new standards in the industry. We invite visitors to explore our stand and experience how partnering with Mazak can drive their success.”
