ABS has awarded CLS Wind an Approval in Principle (AIP) for its groundbreaking wind turbine assembly system. This patented system, designed like an elevator, is set to revolutionize the installation and maintenance of wind turbines and nacelles by eliminating the need for large cranes and heavy-lift vessels.
The AIP was granted following thorough design reviews conducted by ABS, which assessed compliance with class and statutory standards.
