WFL to Showcase Advanced MILLTURN Machines and Automation Solutions at AMB 2024

by Anna

WFL Millturn Technologies is set to exhibit its cutting-edge machinery at AMB 2024, scheduled from September 10 to 14 in Stuttgart. At their stand, the company will highlight two of their premier MILLTURN models: the M20-G MILLTURN with a 1500mm capacity and the M50 MILLTURN with a 3000mm capacity.

The M20-G MILLTURN is tailored for customers seeking a compact yet robust complete machining center. It will soon be available with additional center distance options of 2000mm and 3000mm, catering to longer shaft parts. Key features include the machine’s high stability and an integrated motor spindle design for advanced machining techniques.

One of the exhibition highlights will be the demonstration of the mobileCELL, a mobile robot system by FRAI. Installed on an automated guided vehicle (AGV), the mobile robot will showcase its ability to autonomously handle and transport chuck parts and tools. It will utilize a camera to scan QR codes for precise positioning, with an HSK-63 gripper and Baruffaldi tool turret featuring an EPPINGER QUICKLOCK tool holder system for automatic tool changes.

The mobileCELL’s autonomous operation, obstacle avoidance, and integration with intelligent software represent significant advancements in automation. This system not only automates the loading and unloading of workpieces but also facilitates the automatic supply of machining centers with tools and clamping devices, ensuring efficient and safe operations.

WFL’s presentation at AMB 2024 will highlight their commitment to innovation in machining and automation technologies, offering a glimpse into the future of manufacturing efficiency.
