Unipart, a leader in supply chain solutions and performance improvement technologies, has announced the acquisition of Formaplex Technologies, a prominent manufacturer of lightweight components serving the automotive, aerospace, motorsport, and healthcare industries.
Founded two decades ago as a specialized tooling partner for the Formula 1 automotive sector, Formaplex Technologies has evolved into a leading UK supplier of polymer and composite solutions. The company is recognized for its expertise in polymer injection molding and lightweight component manufacturing.
As part of the acquisition, Formaplex will be rebranded as Unipart Polymer and Composite Solutions. Unipart plans to integrate Formaplex’s operations into its existing manufacturing portfolio, ensuring the continuation of high operational and safety standards across both organizations.
