Emobi Manufacturing Private Limited has unveiled the AKX LS, a low-speed electric two-wheeler designed specifically for the business-to-business (B2B) market. This innovative vehicle aims to cater to the growing need for last-mile delivery services in India, particularly targeting the 30% of delivery riders who lack a driving license for high-speed vehicles. The AKX LS is expected to be priced between INR 85,000 to INR 95,000.
The AKX LS is powered by a robust lithium-ion battery pack offered in two variants:
1.5 kWh with Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) chemistry
2.3 kWh with Nickel Manganese Cobalt (NMC) chemistry
This electric two-wheeler is designed for efficiency and compliance, featuring a custom-made motor optimized for low-speed operations. The vehicle offers impressive ranges of:
75 km on a single charge for the LFP variant
120 km for the NMC version
Additionally, the AKX LS boasts fast-charging capabilities, allowing users to fully recharge the battery in just 30 minutes, significantly enhancing operational efficiency for companies that rely on quick turnaround times.
Emobi has partnered with Livaah Innovations to enhance the AKX’s functionality. The battery pack is designed to be compatible with Livaah’s solar hybrid inverters, enabling the battery to also serve as a home power backup. This dual-use feature adds value for B2C customers purchasing Livaah inverters while positioning the AKX LS as a practical option for gig workers in delivery roles.
Bharath Rao, Founder and CEO of Emobi, emphasized the vehicle’s advanced features, which include:
Geo-fencing
Live tracking
Vehicle immobilization
These features enable fleet managers to maintain effective control over their operations, making the AKX LS a reliable choice for last-mile delivery services and bike taxi operations.
With its innovative design and strategic partnerships, Emobi is poised to expand the AKX LS’s presence beyond the Indian market. The company is focused on meeting the needs of gig workers and enhancing operational efficiencies for businesses relying on electric two-wheelers for their delivery services. As demand for sustainable transport solutions continues to rise, the AKX LS stands as a promising option in the growing B2B electric vehicle landscape.
