Mahindra Racing has announced that Swiss driver Léna Bühler will participate in the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship’s Women’s Test. Bühler gained recognition last season in the F1 Academy, where she claimed race victories in Barcelona and Monza, along with 11 additional podium finishes, ultimately finishing as vice-champion.
At 27, Bühler will have the opportunity to test the new Gen3 Evo Formula E car, the fastest FIA single-seater to date, during the final afternoon of pre-season testing. With the backing of one of Formula E’s prominent manufacturers, she is set to make her mark in the electric racing series.
In addition to driving the Mahindra M11Electro, Bühler will receive support from the team’s race drivers, Nyck de Vries and Edoardo Mortara, along with resources from the team’s engineering and performance departments to aid in her development.
The Women’s Test will also feature an expanded program in collaboration with FIA Girls on Track, showcasing the diverse opportunities available for women in motorsport. This initiative aims to inspire and empower future female racers, further promoting inclusivity within the sport.
