Lithuania Sends Military Aid to Ukraine, Including Generators and Ammunition

by Anna

Lithuania has started delivering a new military support package to Ukraine, which includes electricity generators, ammunition, and mortar rounds. The Lithuanian Defense Ministry announced that the equipment is expected to arrive in Kyiv this week.

This year, Lithuania has already provided significant military aid to Ukraine, including 155 mm ammunition, M113 armored vehicles, anti-drone systems, and drones. In August, the country revealed a support package that featured short-range air defense systems, armored personnel carriers, and drone jammers.

Additionally, Lithuania plans to send over 5,000 locally made first-person view (FPV) drones to Kyiv, with an investment of 5 million euros (approximately $5.4 million). Earlier this week, Ukrainian forces received their first batch of FPV quadcopter drones from the Lithuanian company RSI Europe.

Since the war began, Lithuania’s military support to Ukraine has exceeded 705 million euros (about $766 million). The government in Vilnius intends to allocate over one billion euros (around $1.08 billion) in total assistance as part of a long-term budget, committing at least 0.25 percent of its GDP to support Ukraine.
