Honda Donates Generators and Support for Hurricane Helene Recovery in North Carolina

by Anna

Honda is increasing its support for communities affected by Hurricane Helene in North Carolina by donating 40 EU3200i portable generators to the American Red Cross. These generators will assist families still without power due to the hurricane’s flooding. This donation follows Honda’s earlier commitment of $500,000 made on October 3 by its American companies, including Honda North Carolina and Honda Aircraft Company.

The EU3200i generator, which weighs under 60 pounds, is the lightest in Honda’s 3000-watt series. It provides reliable power for essential household appliances like furnaces and refrigerators. Honda Powersports dealers in North Carolina are preparing these generators for distribution through the American Red Cross.

In addition to the generators, Honda is donating 700 Engineering Learning Lunchboxes to the Greensboro Science Center. These kits are designed to support students in Western North Carolina who have been displaced or are learning from home due to the hurricane. Each kit contains up to 10 hours of STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math) activities to help fill educational gaps.
