Caterpillar has launched the Cat XQ20 mobile diesel generator, a 20 kVA power solution designed to meet U.S. EPA Tier 4 Final emission standards. Available through Cat dealers across North America, the XQ20 is the fourth model in the company’s mobile generator range offering under 100 kW of prime power.
The XQ20 is built for compactness and portability, making it ideal for construction sites, power outages, disaster relief, and outdoor events. It features a high-efficiency engine that optimizes fuel consumption without requiring diesel exhaust fluid (DEF), reducing operating costs. Additionally, it offers extended oil change intervals of 500 hours, potentially saving owners thousands in maintenance costs.
The generator also ensures 110% spill containment of engine fluids for workplace protection. Its weather-resistant enclosure is designed to withstand harsh conditions, while advanced telematics provide real-time data on fuel levels and operational status to minimize downtime. Operating at noise levels comparable to normal conversation, the XQ20 enhances worker safety and comfort, improving overall productivity at worksites.
