GE Vernova Secures Gas Turbine Order for Dominican Republic Plant

by Anna

GE Vernova has won its first order for H-Class natural gas-fired equipment in the Caribbean, for the 470MW San Felipe power station in the Dominican Republic. This project supports the country’s climate goals by providing efficient, dispatchable power to complement renewable energy growth.

The Dominican Republic has transitioned much of its energy production from oil to natural gas, which now accounts for nearly 50% of the country’s electricity. Natural gas-fired combined cycle plants significantly lower emissions, supporting the nation’s sustainable energy future.
