Ranjan Lanka Private Limited, a well-established name in Sri Lanka’s retail sector for over five decades, has ventured into the air conditioning (AC) market with the launch of Zero brand ACs. Imported from Zero Technologies in China, the new range of air conditioners is designed to cater to small offices, homes, and apartments.
The Zero brand ACs come in two main variants: non-inverter units with capacities ranging from 9,000 to 12,000 BTU (British Thermal Units) and inverter units from 12,000 to 18,000 BTU. The models were introduced to the Sri Lankan market for the first time during a launch event in Gampaha. The company plans to distribute the units nationwide from its Gampaha warehouse and is actively seeking dealers to expand its market reach.
Known for their durability and energy efficiency, Zero ACs feature thicker copper tubes than those used by other brands, which helps reduce corrosion and extend the lifespan of the units. Additionally, the low-wattage compressors are designed to minimize electricity consumption, making both the inverter and non-inverter models more energy-efficient. The company offers a one-year warranty on the entire unit and a five-year warranty on the compressor. Furthermore, to address local concerns about spare parts availability, Ranjan Lanka guarantees consistent access to necessary components. Customers will also benefit from three free servicing sessions within the first year of purchase.
Despite their high-quality features, Zero ACs are priced competitively, providing an affordable option for consumers without sacrificing performance.
Ranjan Lanka, known for its supermarket located at No. 04, Rest House Road, Gampaha, has built a strong reputation over the past 30 years, offering a wide range of products including groceries, stationery, garments, and electronics. The company’s legacy stretches back nearly 50 years, starting from its origins on D.S. Senanayake Street in Ampara.
