In response to the ongoing energy challenges in Ukraine, the Ukrainian Red Cross has delivered 29 diesel generators to the Vinnytsia region. These 7 kW generators are vital for ensuring the continuous operation of social services in the event of prolonged power outages. They will specifically support the district military administrations and the Department of Social and Youth Policy of the Vinnytsia Regional Military Administration, which are responsible for processing payments and benefits for vulnerable populations, including low-income, retired, and disabled citizens.
Each generator is designed for ease of use, cost-efficiency, and reliability, ensuring that critical services can continue without interruption, even if the region’s infrastructure is compromised. With these new additions, social services will remain operational, preventing any disruptions in the delivery of essential support to those who rely on government assistance.
Natalia Zabolotna, First Deputy Head of the Vinnytsia Regional Military Administration, expressed gratitude for the Red Cross’s timely contribution, emphasizing the importance of maintaining a functioning social protection system: “We are confident that, no matter what happens to the energy infrastructure, these generators will guarantee that payments and aid to our population will continue as planned.”
