SCIEX Unveils ZenoTOF 7600+ for Advanced Proteomics Research

by Anna

SCIEX has introduced the ZenoTOF 7600+ system, a high-resolution accurate mass spectrometry tool designed to push the boundaries of proteomics research. With its advanced ZT Scan DIA strategy, the system combines quadrupole dimensions and rich MS/MS data from the Zeno trap, addressing a critical challenge in moving protein biomarker candidates beyond the discovery phase.

Jose Castro-Perez, Vice President of Product Management, emphasized that the ZenoTOF 7600+ integrates the depth of DIA methods with DDA specificity and targeted approach precision, enabling researchers to quantify entire proteomes with remarkable accuracy. This system aims to streamline clinical and translational research workflows, accelerating progress in precision medicine.

ZT Scan DIA represents the next evolution in data-independent acquisition (DIA), allowing the system to quantify 125% more protein groups at sub-nanogram levels than conventional methods. The inclusion of Electron-activated dissociation (EAD) enhances fragmentation capabilities for a variety of molecule types.

With a scanning speed of up to 640 Hz, the ZenoTOF 7600+ is SCIEX’s fastest accurate mass system, perfect for large-scale quantification panels. Its integration of the Q1 quadrupole dimension with MS/MS scans improves data analysis, offering higher confidence in differentiating isomeric peptides and localizing post-translational modifications (PTMs).
