Case New Holland (CNH) has been awarded two prestigious Good Design Awards for its innovative loader models. The awards, presented by the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design, recognize exceptional design in various industries.
The two honored loaders are the battery-powered Case 580EV Backhoe Loader and the New Holland Construction W40X Electric Power, both plug-in battery-powered machines. CNH’s head of industrial design, David Wilkie, highlighted that the styling of these machines matches the innovation within their engineering.
The New Holland Construction W40X Electric Power model, noted for its compact size, was recognized for its “innovative styling that complements its engineering prowess.” Produced by New Holland, the loader is praised for its seamless integration of aesthetics and functionality, setting a new design benchmark in construction equipment.
The Case 580EV, recognized as the industry’s first production-ready, purpose-built electric backhoe loader, emphasizes Case’s commitment to sustainability and innovation. It offers a sustainable alternative in the construction industry with zero onsite emissions and minimal noise, making it ideal for urban construction, utility teams, and municipal crews. The loader features ergonomic controls, an operator-focused cab, and an 8-inch touchscreen for enhanced usability.
Case says the 580EV represents a significant leap in electric construction machinery, combining the robustness of its diesel counterpart with the environmental benefits of electric vehicle technology.
