Jebel Ali Free Zone (JAFZA) has signed an agreement with Allied Heat Exchange AG (A-HEAT) to develop the largest heat exchanger production facility in the GCC. This new facility, spanning 1.2 million square feet with 400,000 square feet of built-up area, will cater to the increasing demand for energy-efficient cooling solutions, particularly for data centers requiring advanced thermal management.
The facility will be operated by Güntner, A-HEAT’s flagship brand, a leader in heat transfer technology. It will serve as a production and distribution hub, improving supply chain efficiencies and ensuring faster, more flexible deliveries across the GCC, India, China, Africa, and Asia. This agreement was signed at the World Government Summit in Dubai, attended by key figures from DP World and A-HEAT.
Cooling solutions are vital for IT infrastructure, and with the rapid growth of data centers driven by artificial intelligence and cloud computing, the demand for high-performance heat exchangers has surged. This facility will produce advanced heat exchangers using natural refrigerants such as CO₂ and ammonia for energy-efficient cooling.
Additionally, the facility will manufacture aicore smart control solutions, which can reduce energy consumption by up to 30%. When integrated with hydroBLU technology, these systems will optimize the cooling process, saving up to 90% of water usage.
This project supports the UAE’s ‘Operation 300bn’ initiative, which aims to position the country as a global leader in industrial innovation. The collaboration between JAFZA and A-HEAT underscores their commitment to advancing sustainable manufacturing solutions while expanding A-HEAT’s global footprint.
