Allied Heat Exchange AG (A-HEAT), the German parent group, has announced plans to establish a 37,000sqm heat exchanger production facility for its subsidiary brand, Güntner, in the Jebel Ali Free Zone (JAFZA), Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Once completed, the Güntner facility will become the largest heat exchanger factory in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region. The facility will serve as a key production and distribution hub, ensuring quicker and more flexible deliveries across the GCC, India, China, Africa, and Asia.
The purpose-built facility in JAFZA will occupy a total area of 111,000sqm and aims to meet the increasing demand for energy-efficient cooling solutions, particularly for data centers. Founded in 1985, JAFZA was established to support trading and logistics at the Jebel Ali Port and is strategically located between Jebel Ali Port and Al Maktoum International Airport.
Hubert Spegel, a board member of A-HEAT, commented, “This milestone marks a significant step in our ongoing commitment to the Middle East and global markets. Our collaboration with DP World and JAFZA reflects our dedication to providing advanced, energy-efficient cooling solutions for industries reliant on optimal thermal management.”
In addition to manufacturing heat exchangers for natural refrigerants, the new facility will produce Güntner’s Aicore Smart Control technology, currently being optimized by R&D efforts at Güntner.
