Galadari Energy Solutions has unveiled the first battery-powered air compressor in the Middle East, named B-Air. Manufactured by Swedish company Atlas Copco, the B-Air aligns with the UAE’s eco-friendly goals, designed to reduce carbon emissions.
Billal A. Razaq Hazza, General Manager of Galadari Energy Solutions, explained that the B-Air offers companies the flexibility to use it on-site without the need for electrical connections. “This unit operates for up to 10 hours after being charged in a workshop, producing no smoke and low noise,” Hazza said. It is ideal for construction, energy, and industrial sectors, providing a sustainable alternative to diesel-powered compressors.
“This is the first battery-powered air compressor in the region, making it an affordable, low-maintenance option,” Hazza added. The B-Air is designed to handle extreme temperatures, making it suitable for the UAE’s harsh climate. The product will be available in the UAE starting April 2025.
Atlas Copco’s Jamil Ireifej emphasized the company’s commitment to sustainability. “The B-Air is the first battery-powered compressor we’ve ever made, and we are thrilled to introduce it in the UAE, which places a strong focus on environmental care,” Ireifej said. Following its success in Europe and the U.S., Atlas Copco plans to expand the product’s availability to Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, and Egypt.
With increasing demand for environmentally conscious solutions, the B-Air is poised to play a significant role in shaping the future of air compressors in the Middle East.
