Kaeser Compressors has launched the M480 oil-injected portable screw compressor, the most powerful model in its Mobilair series, designed specifically for the North American market. With a free air delivery of up to 1700 cfm, the M480 sets new standards in efficiency and versatility.
Powered by a high-performance 12-liter Cummins engine producing 460 horsepower, the M480 is fully compliant with Tier 4 emissions standards, ensuring powerful yet environmentally friendly operation. The compressor offers two continuously adjustable pressure ranges (87-125 psig and 87-200 psig), providing maximum flexibility for various applications. Its innovative pV control system automatically increases free air delivery when a lower operating pressure is selected, optimizing energy efficiency while ensuring precise air supply to meet demand.
The M480 is ideal for diverse applications, including mining, tunnel construction, and temporary industrial compressor station replacements. It can also be equipped with optional air treatment systems for cool, condensate-free, or technically oil-free compressed air. Despite its power, the M480 is easy to operate, featuring a single-start switch and an intuitive touch display for precise pressure adjustments in 1 psig increments.
The system is available in three configurations: skid-mounted, stationary mount, and a DOT-approved road-ready version with a heavy-duty chassis and electric brake. Each configuration includes crane lifting eyes, forklift pockets, and lashing points for safe and secure transport.
