A pharmaceutical company, specializing in the supply of glass tubing for the packaging industry, successfully avoided production delays by renting a temporary oil-free compressed air system during planned maintenance of their compressor room.
The company had to replace the valves in their compressed air network and decided to conduct general maintenance of the compressor room at the same time. To minimize the risk of production stoppages, they needed a reliable temporary solution that would maintain operations without disruption. Renting a temporary compressed air system was the ideal solution, ensuring that the plant could continue running smoothly while the maintenance work was completed.
The team meticulously planned the setup, choosing an oil-free air system to guarantee the highest quality and safety for the production process. The system included two PTS 1600 compressors, each with a capacity of 45.7 m³/min and operating at a pressure of 10.3 barg. To further enhance air quality, two desiccant dryers with a capacity of 47m³ were included, providing a pressure dew point of -70°C. This combination of equipment allowed the pharmaceutical plant to maintain uninterrupted production throughout the maintenance work.
The key benefit of the temporary installation was the zero-oil air supply, which eliminated the risk of oil contamination. This ensured that there was no chance of damage to the sensitive products being manufactured, avoiding any safety concerns, product defects, or operational downtime. As a result, the pharmaceutical company was able to carry out necessary maintenance work while safeguarding their production process.
