Kaeser Compressors is showcasing the Mobilair M250E electric-drive portable compressor at this year’s Australian Manufacturing Week in Melbourne. Designed for both temporary and permanent use, the M250E is ideal for situations requiring increased capacity or where conventional compressors cannot fit indoors.
The M250E features a 132 kW energy-efficient IE4 electric motor and a Sigma Profile airend, known for its reliability in industrial rotary screw compressors. It delivers up to 25 m³/min at 8.6 bar and 16.2 m³/min at 14 bar, depending on the configuration.
“What distinguishes the Mobilair M250E from traditional industrial compressors is its rugged outdoor design,” said Ronald van Wyk, Kaeser Australia’s Mobilair Sales Manager. “It’s built to endure harsh weather conditions, making it perfect for outdoor installations.”
The M250E is easy to transport, with galvanised skids, forklift slots, and crane lifting eyes. It can be moved quickly and stacked side by side on a truck bed for efficient transport.
The compressor suits a wide range of applications, from industrial breakdowns and peak production to permanent outdoor setups. It’s ideal for uses like sandblasting, tunneling, and sites with noise restrictions, such as urban areas and mines.
With a closed floor pan to prevent spills and an aftercooler with a centrifugal separator to remove moisture, the M250E is environmentally friendly. It also offers an optional oil-free air filter combination and easy access to maintenance points.
The unit can be connected to Industry 4.0 systems for remote monitoring, including the Kaeser Sigma Air Manager or a customer’s in-house Telematics system. This feature provides valuable data, such as duty-cycle analysis, maintenance planning, and remote diagnostics.
