Kress recently unveiled its new autonomous mower, the Cut N Go, at the company’s NEXT Summit in early April. The event, held in Colorado Springs, Colorado, brought together media representatives and over three dozen landscaping companies to showcase the latest innovations in battery-powered equipment and autonomous mowing technology.
Cut N Go: Designed for Efficiency and Convenience
The Cut N Go features a 40-inch deck and is engineered to navigate residential properties with ease. The system relies on a mapping process, where crews initially map each customer’s lawn using a ride-on mode. Once the map is created, the mower can autonomously navigate the lawn “by memory” in subsequent uses, eliminating the need for additional setup. This allows landscaping teams to focus on other tasks while the mower operates in the background.
Long Battery Life and Flexibility: The mower can cover up to five acres on a single charge and can autonomously load and unload from a trailer. In certain HOA-style neighborhoods, it can even move between properties without a trailer, enhancing operational efficiency.
Advanced Navigation and Obstacle Avoidance: Equipped with boundary-wire-free navigation and 360-degree obstacle avoidance, the Cut N Go can steer clear of obstacles like people, pets, pools, trees, gardens, toys, and lawn furniture, offering a safer and more efficient mowing experience.
Durable and Integrated: The mower boasts a 5,000-hour operational life and seamlessly integrates into the Kress Fleet Management System, ensuring that operators can track and manage their fleet with ease.
A New Era for Battery-Powered Landscaping Equipment
Kress CEO Don Gao addressed attendees at the event, discussing the state of the battery-powered landscaping market. He acknowledged that some landscapers had negative experiences with battery-powered equipment in the past but emphasized that Kress is dedicated to rebuilding trust in the technology.
“We need to rebuild their trust, their confidence, their understanding,” Gao said, adding that Kress sees itself as a technology provider, not just a product manufacturer. The company aims to lead the way in creating reliable, efficient, and advanced tools for the landscaping industry.
Looking Ahead
Sales of the Cut N Go mower are set to begin in 2026 at Kress dealer locations across North America, marking a significant step in the company’s mission to revolutionize the autonomous mower market.
