Oboya, a China-based manufacturing company specializing in packaging, pots, trolleys, and displays, recently completed the acquisition of an injection molding company in Kumming. This strategic move has allowed Oboya to broaden its product portfolio with the addition of injection molded pots and buckets, bringing the company one step closer to realizing its goal of offering a comprehensive one-stop-shop experience for its customers.
The newly acquired factory will primarily serve local, US, and European markets. Oboya is actively investing in high-speed injection machines for the facility, which will soon be operational. This investment is expected to increase production capacity and efficiency, allowing for the simultaneous manufacturing of a wider range of products.
Wu, the Founder and Chairman of Oboya, emphasized the benefits this expansion brings to their clients. He explained, “This investment provides us with the opportunity to diversify our product range, providing customers with an enhanced one-stop-shop experience. When combined with competitive container prices, we become the ideal partner for procuring horticultural products.”
Despite ambitious plans for growth, Wu emphasized the company’s commitment to prudent and measured progress, taking each step with careful consideration.
Looking ahead, Oboya will showcase its offerings at two upcoming industry events. They will exhibit at ExpoPlantas, the trade show for the Colombian nursery industry in Bogota, from September 20 to 22. Additionally, from October 4 to 6, they will participate in Proflora, the trade show dedicated to the Colombian flower industry. These events provide opportunities for industry professionals to connect with the Oboya team and explore their expanding product range
