For the first time, attendees at Advanced Engineering 2023, a leading industry event, will receive accreditation from The CPD Group, a globally recognized continuous professional development (CPD) accreditation service based in the UK. This accreditation highlights the event’s commitment to providing valuable educational content to its attendees.
Scheduled to take place at the NEC in Birmingham on November 1 and 2, Advanced Engineering 2023 will feature over 150 industry-leading speakers participating in its forums. These forums cover a wide range of topics, and attendees can access them with a visitor pass. The knowledge gained from these forums will contribute to attendees’ CPD.
The event will host five forums, offering hours of informative and engaging content. The main stage, introduced for 2023, will serve as a comprehensive information hub for the latest industry developments, government policies, and inspiring keynotes.
The composites forum, supported by Composites UK, will delve into subjects such as new composite materials, lightweighting, and purpose-built materials. The aerospace forum, supported by ADS, will explore cutting-edge advancements in electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL), urban air mobility, space exploration, in-orbit manufacturing, and hydrogen fuel technologies.
Additionally, the automotive forum, supported by the Society of Motor Manufacturers (SMMT), will uncover the latest breakthroughs in lightweighting, electronics, and future fuel technologies. Attendees can expect case studies from key original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and tier one suppliers.
Simon Farnfield, event director for Advanced Engineering, stated, “This year, Advanced Engineering will host representatives from some of the leading engineering and manufacturing firms as speakers across its forums.” He further noted that keynote talks will be presented by renowned individuals such as Richard Noble OBE, a former holder of the World Land Speed Record and an innovator at ThrustWSH, as well as Stephen Phipson OBE, CEO of Make UK.
The partnership with The CPD Group means that attendees can log their participation in the event’s forums as part of their CPD plans. To obtain certification, attendees simply need to scan the QR code at the exit of each forum, provide their name and email address, and they will receive their certificate by email. Access to all forums is available for free with an exhibitor or visitor pass for Advanced Engineering.
By offering CPD accreditation, Advanced Engineering 2023 aims to provide attendees with opportunities for professional development and knowledge enhancement, furthering their careers in the engineering and manufacturing sectors.
