Bradford-based aerospace manufacturer Produmax has officially integrated with ASG Group, an aerospace manufacturing conglomerate headquartered in Manchester, UK, and rapidly expanding globally. ASG Group, led by Managing Director Simon Weston, operates in nine locations across the UK, Germany, and India.
Produmax, with approximately 90 employees, has been a prominent player in aerospace manufacturing for over 25 years under the leadership of Jeremy and Mandy Ridyard. The company’s success is attributed to its commitment to culture change and innovation. With a team of skilled engineers averaging under 35 years of age, Produmax has undergone a transformative journey through digitization, automation, and talent development.
Jeremy Ridyard expressed, “This partnership allows us to further expand our reach and impact in the aerospace industry. ASG Group’s value of engineering excellence aligns perfectly with ours, and together, we are well-equipped to take on new opportunities. Our goal together is to drive this business to in excess of £20 million over the next 5 years.”
Mandy Ridyard added, “Our people have always been our greatest asset. This merger means we can offer even more exciting career prospects while continuing to focus on diversity and empowerment in our workplace. We remain committed to nurturing and developing talent.”
ASG Group’s Managing Director, Simon Weston, noted, “The addition of Produmax to the ASG Group is a significant step towards our goal of becoming a global leader in aerospace manufacturing. We are impressed with Produmax’s relentless pursuit of excellence and their strong commitment to UK manufacturing. Together, we will leverage our strengths to deliver the exciting new work already won by Produmax and to work together across the group to win more.”
With this integration, ASG Group’s global presence now spans approximately 450 employees, with an annual turnover exceeding $70 million. Produmax, as a pivotal member of the group, specializes in manufacturing flight control assemblies for various aircraft. Their clientele includes major aerospace companies such as Boeing, Airbus, Eaton, Spirit, Collins, and Bombardier. Produmax is well-regarded for its innovative manufacturing approach and its dedication to upskilling its workforce, notably through apprenticeship and degree programs.
The collaboration between Produmax and ASG Group is founded on shared values and a mutual commitment to the growth of British manufacturing. It represents a unique blend of organizations, each contributing distinct strengths to the partnership while sharing a vision for the future. Together, they will continue to shape the future of aerospace manufacturing with a strong emphasis on empowering their workforce.
