Evtec Aluminium has successfully secured a significant supply contract with Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) to provide essential components for their upcoming line of electric vehicles (EVs). Acting as a single-source supplier, Evtec will deliver key components for the EV powertrain, contributing to the production of Jaguar’s new luxury electric vehicles.
The contract is anticipated to generate over $67 million in sales for Evtec, excluding potential after-market sales and model life extensions. Jaguar’s new line of luxury electric vehicles includes a four-door GT model and a luxury sedan, both designed to achieve a range of over 435 miles and capable of fast charging 200 miles in approximately 15 minutes.
Expressing enthusiasm about the partnership, Evtec Chairman David Roberts emphasized the company’s role as a crucial supply partner in Jaguar’s transition to an all-electric future. He highlighted Evtec’s commitment to meeting the demands of global luxury automotive leaders like JLR and praised their innovative design and technology in the luxury automotive market.
Evtec, recognized as a leading manufacturer of advanced aluminium castings and machining, supplies premium brand Original Equipment Makers (OEMs) worldwide. The company’s competencies align with the growing demand for lightweighting programs, particularly in the transition to aluminium-based platforms and components within the automotive industry.
Furthermore, Evtec is currently in the process of being acquired by Blackboxstocks Inc, a financial technology and social media hybrid platform. Blackbox CEO Gust Kepler expressed satisfaction with the growing order book for Evtec, foreseeing the merger’s potential to deliver significant shareholder value. He emphasized the parallel operation of Blackbox’s fintech operations with the evolving business combination, aiming to provide comprehensive solutions in both sectors.
