Here, she engaged with Steve Geddes, discussing the pivotal role of apprenticeships and young professionals in advancing the manufacturing sector.
The discussion underscored Sandvik Coromant’s commitment to nurturing the next generation of engineering talent, aligning with its brand mission of “Manufacturing Wellness.” This mission emphasizes eight critical manufacturing habits, including the development and retention of skilled individuals eager to drive innovation.
To support this mission, Sandvik Coromant hosts regular training events and webinars globally, leveraging its 14 Sandvik Coromant Centers, including the UK Center in Halesowen, West Midlands. This state-of-the-art facility, inaugurated last year, serves as a national hub for metal cutting expertise, featuring education stations equipped for tooling demonstrations and engineering projects.
Steve Geddes reflected on the success of the E&D Zone and interactions with industry stakeholders, exhibitors, attendees, and students, emphasizing Sandvik Coromant’s dedication to fostering talent and innovation in manufacturing.
